Just saw SuperBee's Australian thread and thought I'd share a little animation I've been working on. I have to create a website for a uni course that has to contain an animation/audio file. I decided to create a website called 'Australian Blues Harp', and my animation is a little promo for the site.
Very cool. Just remember, if it's for a website, lots of people get upset if the music starts all by itself, since they may be at work, or listening to something else, so maybe include a play button. Some of my favorite websites make you interact in a clever way to start the audio. There was a great site a few years back for a console remake of the old video game "Bard's Tale". The website was set up with a picture of brave adventurers sitting around a hearth fire drinking grog. If you clicked on the different characters they each said different funny things. Sometimes you had to click several times to get them to go through all their dialogue options, which led you to do exactly that. You clicked each person several times, only when you clicked the lusty barmaid one time to many it opened up a new page... a government site on rules covering sexual harassment!
The Iceman - yeah it is. I shot myself playing in front of a little green screen, then exported the video as a sequence of images, one for each frame (over 3000 :S). I edited the first image to get it the way I wanted, then automated a batch in photoshop to perform the same edits to the rest of the images before putting them back together as a video.
Nacoran - That's definitely a good a good idea, and something i will do. I'm a person that hates when things start automatically too. ---------- Pom
