I have a Hog 20 Amp, the electric one with no batteries.
I willing to sacrafice this amp to come out with a pretty good stomp box. Can I somehow convert this amp or parts into a pretty good stomp box. Keep in mind I'm a tech dummie here..lol

I've tried miking and affixing a mic to a wooden box I made but I'm just not happy with the sound..and it seems slightly delayed for some reason.

Have you tryed hooking up an old speaker to a jack and stomping on it. A speaker is just a big dynamic Mic. The bigger the speaker the better the thump. Screw the speaker to the inside but watch the screws and your foot. Iv seen some people put old carpet over the top to muffled it.

You have already lost me jimbo. What kind of jack. I don't think anyone ever explainded what a jack means. The 1/4" to 1/4" male cable is what I need? Told ya I was a tech dummie!

We were over at my friend's house for practice. We had a pedal with a loose wire. We asked if he had a soldering iron. He looked around and came back with a caulking gun!

I've never been terribly great at projects like this. I wish Industrial Arts class back in high school had focused more on stuff like this. We really focused on the sorts of things you'd need to know if you were going to work in a factory and not much on things that might need to be fixed around the house. Simple soldering can fix all sorts of broken electronics. Learning how to read an electrical diagram can help you do all sorts of neat projects. I don't have an industrial belt sander handy, so the fact that I have some vague idea how to use it really isn't very useful.

THanks Jimbo..I agree Nac. Sure would be handy and save a lot of money if I knew these things.
