Y'all:

I'm beginning to think about putting together a modest UK tour--two weeks max--for the spring of 2009. This might involve me coming over by my lonesome, hosting a few clinics, playing a few gigs with a backup band. It might involve me trying to bring Mr. Satan (which would involve flying at least two other people over, our drummer and our road manager); or, more likely, it might involve convincing Charlie Hilbert to join me for a week, as he'll be doing this fall when I travel to Klingenthal for Mundharmonika-live.

I'm interested in trying to build contacts and suss out gigs. If a big blues festival was willing to bring Satan and Adam over, for example, the whole thing could spiral together out of that.

If you've got any ideas, things you think I should know about, please email me: asgussow@aol.com. If you've got a local harmonica club, for example, or know somebody who owns a blues club, or if you've got the perfect band for me, I'm interested.

Actually, I should just track down Dave Peabody and work two weeks with him, shouldn't I? Well, if you've got his email, send me that, too.

You can post stuff here, if you want, but it's much easier for me to print out and save stuff when it comes via regular email.

Thanks!

Hi Adam, John Callaghan here, (the English guy form the Gulfport Workshop) you should look into the Cambridge Folk festival.
It's a great festival with a very storied history some great acts have played there. It's not a spring but summer festival.

Let me know if you go, I'll more than likely be heading home to Cambridge myself in 2009.

Good Luck look forward to seeing you next time you're in Florida.

Hi Adam, Excellent news that you are planning of coming to UK next year. May be worth checking out the 'National Harmonica League' web site .... http://harmonica.co.uk/sfestival07.htm ... as they have a festival, including workshops etc every spring in Birmingham, West Midlands, England. See you there !!!!.

I'm about to break some very exciting news: I'm coming to the UK this summer to give harp clinics and perform. Things moved much more quickly than I expected. I'll tell y'all about it in a video advisory on YT when the ink dries......
