You could try George Miklas. You can certainly do worse than having the guy who replaced Al Fiore in the Harmonicats repairing your stuff. harmonicagallery.com is his Web site.

I met a guy on another forum that does repairs. I don't know him and have never used him. He has a VERY helpful website http://www.truechromatic.com/index.php. He seems to be very knowledgeable.

I'll second Dave's post. George Miklas did a 270 and a 64 for me. Good work and reasonable prices.

Hey Steve,
Clearing up any confusion here...
In my correspondence with you, I was referring to Tom Halchak from Blue Moon Harmonicas as the one who would be attending HCH. He actually built the brass comb on your pre-War... Which did turn out beautiful...

However, I share the same opinion of David Payne who is not only a great player, but one of the most knowleadgeable folks out there when it comes to the harp biz. He graciously shares his expertise and I can say many of us are much better for that...

There's also a long time chromatic harp tech named Dick Gardner you can contact at harmonicats@juno.com. He still doesn't have a website but he's been doing this for decades.

Kevin Baker " Chromatic Blues" on this fourm fixed my Chromatic 64. The comb was busted at the button end and a few wind savers were messed up. He was way cheeper than buying a new one. He had a quick turn around to. I'm not sure if Mark perados " MP" on this fourm does Chromatic repairs. If so he is a great guy to deal with also.

I work on CX-12 chromatics (and others). I have been doing Bill Barrett's--also did a repair on David Fairweather's LeGato CX-12.
Oh yeah, and I used to work for Suzuki--they have some really good chromatics!

thanks, y'all!!!
wow. what a wealth of conversation. greg (jeez, it's weird but cool interacting with you here in a nother context) thanks for putting the record straight (blue moon and not elk river!)...

is the cx12 that different to work on? i am hoping there are other chroms at HCH, especially the suzukis. i would love to check them out and maybe get a second one. how does that new rosewood case suzuki play?

anyway, thanks for taking the time to give me all this information!!!

Thanks!
I am doing Bill Barrett's harps as a trade for lessons--I think I have a bunch of equity at this point, he stays pretty busy.
And What a Harmonica Player!
He's doing the Hazmat boogie pretty soon . . .
And Little Onion, thanks for contacting me!
