I've been listening to the T-Birds first album this week. Wow!
The record is 33 years old.
1st thing that I noticed was how good Kim Wilson was playing way back then. But after a couple of listens I began to notice how brilliantly jimmy Vaughan plays. The things he does with rhythm blew me away. What a great album.

Their first four albums were all great. I loved that band.

yes, agree with timeistight.

the album is supposed to be just called the Fabulous Thunderbirds but the legend Girls Go Wild sorta stuck. like john mayalls beano album.

when i first heard it in '79 i thought to myself,"blues done right? wow! a new band did blues right!"
