I remember when I first made a vow to the learn to play the harmonica and obsessing about figuring out how to maneuver the holes and saying to myself this is going to be a long journey. An article I read in HIP, written by Winslow talked about using an inch worm effect when navigating through octaves and how he pointed out that to get to the next hole is but a very small movement. That advice helped me zero in a little better on making sense of getting around the holes and all these years later I'm happy I persevered cause the fun of playing the harp is a blessing...
Frank: 'I persevered cause the fun of playing the harp is a blessing...'
Amen. ************************************************************ Here's problem no 2

Isn't the cartoon harmonica presentation similar to printing the headline the character is reading on the side of the paper the reader can see? How wpuld anyone know it was a harmonica if they could not see the mouthpiece? ;]
The first cartoon looks like its his 1st harp lesson and he's confused - "am I doin this right".
The 2nd looks like he is showing of his first custom harp like its a prized muskie he just fought for an hour and caught..
The 3rd one, now he is playing with some strong emotion...Must be playing a scary song?
The 4th one, that's GreyOwl when he's an ole man doin his nose trick while looped up on some fun pills...
The 5th that's Mickey finally finding that sweet spot on the 4 hole draw and milkin it with some vibrato till the cows come home.
The 6th one is the squirrel, he's obviously a speed demon and practicing his popper , Sugar and Jason chops...
The 7th, that gentlemen is all those cartoon harpers personified - He won the competition hands downHis prize "a new set off dentures" made out of Dymonwood or Corian ....
