Hi folks,
I will be in Boston from the 4th of May till 14th of May.
I know there is a big blues community in Boston and a lot of jams going around.
But maybe some of you knows more of the really cool places to hear good musicians or to jam around.

If you stay an extra day you could catch Willie Nelson in Providence RI which is about 45 minutes south of Boston. It's not Blues but it will be a good show with some good harp.

My grandfather lived in Dorchester for most of the first year after he came over on the boat in '37. I've spent some time in Southie and have friends who still live there. Are there any good blues jams in the neighborhood that you know of? Just in case I make it back there in the future...

@hawkeyekane - I am not sure of any current jams in the Boston area now. I worked in East Boston for about ten years but have been in RI for the past 5 or so. To be honest I haven't found many good blues venues between Boston & Providence. There is Chens in Woonsocket RI that does have some good acts. I normally will go to the House of Blues in Boston or The Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun. Its nice being half way between them both. In Providence Lupos is the best bet.

Johnny D's - Somerville, MA - Blues jam on Sundays from 4:30pm - 8pm
Cantab Lounge - Cambridge, MA - Blues jam on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9pm - After Midnight
Wally's Cafe - Boston, MA - Jam on Mondays from 9pm - After Midnight
The Skellig - Waltham, MA - Jams on Mondays from 9:30pm - ?
There's more I'm sure, but these are one's I've attended. I live in Somerville, MA myself.

I copy your list and it could be that I will be there at one of these jams. Johnny Ds was already on my list.
Maybe we met somewhere there.
