Harmonica instrumental of "Luonas kai olla saan", a song by a Finnish song writer Juice Leskinen (1950-2006) from year 1976. Played with a Seydel Session Steel harmonica, harp key Low F, 4th position, Powerbender/Paddy Richter tuning.
Mic: EV Re-10. Pre amp: Damage Control Womanizer.

Really nice playing Frosty,that tune got that melancholy but on the move feel.I just posted about who was playing PB's,and that config sounds great.Do you play much with other key PB's.

Very soulful Frosty!

On another note....you lucky SOB. You nabbed a Damage Control. Those were the coolest pedals I've ever come across.

Thank you for your nice words guys!

Yes, I use other keys as well. In my Youtube channel (see the link below) there are many songs played in different keys, mostly played with low tuned Hohner Thunderbirds. With my bands and in jams I use also normal tuned PB-harps, mostly MB Deluxes. I use PB harps at least in 60-70 % of the songs I play, because they are mostly non blues stuff. In blues I use almost always Richter tuned harps if the song is in major key. In minor blues songs I play PB harps, mostly in 5th position, but 3rd is also good with PB tuning. In minor pop/rock songs I use PB in 5th or 4th position.

@HawkeyeKane
I used Womanizer in live gigs a few years back, but then I got Lone Wolf Harp Attack, which is much smaller in size and does not take so much room in my pedal board. Womanizer is still my main pedal when recording harp with a computer.

@Frosty

True...in our line of work, Lone Wolf and DigiTech are the pinnacles for pedals IMHO, just with Lone Wolf being specifically made for harp, and the DigiTech RP series being patched for harp by Richard Hunter. But those Damage Controls were awesome OOTB guitar pedals that made good work of harp frequencies, and the look of them was SOOO slick. Just the visibility of the 12AX7's on each side made it killer. I've periodically looked around for a Glass Nexus at a price I'm willing to pay.

Ben Bouman used Damage Control Time Line delay, when he played in my home town last year. It sounded very cool delay, but it is also big. On the other hand Ben had no other pedals than Time Line as far as I remember. He did some very nice effects and he said that it is the best sounding delay for him, when I asked why he has chosen Time Line.

Here is a quitar demo of DC Time Line:

Thanks Frosty thats a ton of good info.I will try the A pb on some non blues numbers noting your positions,which I need much work on.

The low tbirds really rumble nice.I came close to getting the melody on your finn number with a richter Bb,close as in handgrenades and ballroom dancing.

I grew up with alot of finlanders in northern minn.,fun loving people not afraid of the cold.Are you based up in the frosty north.

With Bb you are playing in 5th position, which I tried also for that song. I played also in 3rd, but found the 4th position easiest for me, specially when playing the bridge of the song. If you noticed I have the blow 3 tuned in Paddy Richter (ie. two semitones higher than in Richter tuning), so I do not need to use that difficult 3 hole double bend, which is the root note in 4th position.

I am from the Middle of Finland, it can be cold in January and February in here too.
