I want to preface my remarks by saying that I went ten pages back and couldn't find a recent harp-retailer thread.
I finally ordered some harps from Rockin' Ron's. I've seen you guys rave and rave, so I took the plunge and ordered 4 harps last week Friday.
The phone rang about 20-minutes later. It was Ron. We had a very nice chat. The harps arrived on Monday. I have to say the overall harp-buying experience was fantastic.
However, the reason I titled this post "Harmonica Retail" is because I have also had really good retail experiences with Jeff Silverman (Harmonica 411) and Coast-to-Coast music.
I wanted to come on and rave about Ron (deserved)but it really stuck in my mind that these guys are all really good, and worth of public accolades. So, for what it's worth, I'm glad I have options, and I'm glad those options are well-run by good folks.

12gagedan, I don't have a list of regular retailers, but I've got a list of customizers in my thread organizer thread. If you want, you could post something there, or maybe just post a link to this thread. The way the thread is set up anyone can post there. Eventually I get around to consolidating the information so it's easier to access it all. The link is in my signature. I haven't kept up on it as much as I should. I'm not sure if anyone else uses it much, but it's there. :)

Ordered some harps from Ron on a Wednesday night recently; they arrived the next Tuesday a.m. in Oz! Perilously close to instant gratification....

I've only bought harps twice from mail order shops. Lately RR's and very happy with way it worked out. Previously bought from Seydel's German store, and also good experience. Ron's pricing is hard to beat though, and the service is also the best imaginable. Buying offshore is a risk though, as you can't inspect the goods. ----------

I suspect Rockin Ron's shop is located inside a post office. He gets an order, boxes it up, then walks 10 feet and puts it in the outgoing-mail box. ;-)
