Just testing out my new Hetrick Dymond wood comb for my Seydel Solist Pro in Ab.

The comb is sweet. Very smooth and flat. The was next to no smell with it either. people had warned me about the smell but very little odour. Very nice colour as well.

nice playing Ant! i think Dymonwood is my fav comb material. i love 'em.

you know, the stock sealed maple combs on Solist Pros rank high in my book. they are definitely the best looking of any OOB comb on the market.

i'm curious as to why you changed it out.

@MP no reason for changing it really. I've just heard so much about Dymondwood I was just curious I guess. Your right about the Seydel comb,It is one of the best combs in my book as well.

That was really good Ant. I loved it! Haven't seen you on the forum so much recently but the woodshedding work speaks volumes. What was your recording set up btw.

@harmonicanick lol!! thank you.

@Fingers, thanks dude.

@GreyOwl, i only use an old Kodak SLR 4 mega pixel camera set to the video function. Its not a bad camera although it is on its way out(i cant see though the back screen anymore)

I have been lurking more on the forum recently. I've hardly been wood shedding either. I've not really wanted to play much harp recently, i'm having to force myself to play because i feel bad for not practicing but its hard to get motivation at the moment, not sure why, hence buying a new comb just trying to get back in love with it all.

I thought it might be because i haven't got a project at the moment so i'm starting to wood shed Little Walters Fast Boogie to see if that helps.

Probably just a dry spell:o)

Cheers Ant, that is a mighty fine sound you got there and is probably my favourite.

Sometimes during a dry spell, when you do pick up the harp there is a kind of relaxation that produces a tension free performance. This just might be your ticket to become re-enthused!

You always play so well! I have recently switched to TB 100% of the time... Its playing like yours that inspires me to stick with it instead of only using it for octaves. Its a technique that allows you to push the shuffle so much harder than with LP.

In the second or third verse when you're going from the I to the IV chord you do a transition lick that's like 2 2' 2"... Is that right? I still need to wrap my head around ways to make that come out right.

Great playing! When I get in a funk (as i currently am) I play chromatic. Its fun :)
