well I recorded this song about 20 times and and when I thought i had it where I wanted the drums were leveled better but the rest was weak ,So i went back to the original one,Ill eventually firgure out how to level the drums with this new setup,But i decided just go with the 1st one, crazy hu ,but my ear has taken a nap on this project for now,But i didnt want to waste the video,;-)
need some honest feedback on my levels and the drums , Im starting to keep time better, but I think the levels are to high, and I tried all last night to fix them and just gave up,Im wondering if I need to lower the bass drum levels, and maybe add some kind of high hat or some metalic ching, ching, thing ;-)to offst the bass, need some 12 inch kickers with this song;-)

Yeah, the kick drum is a bit to high in the mix. Have you checked out some of the pictures Walter Tore has posted of his recording set up? He's got a pretty nifty system for isolating the drums in his recordings... Maybe that can be of some help to you...
Oh, and the harp was way way way to low too. You can try to jerry rig up something like Walter does with a beer can coozy to get the mic right up on the harp whil you play in a rack like that...
thanks, yea i just havent firgured out the levels yet,That coozy trick sounds interesting but I have know idea what your talking about,is it a cushion for the mic? ---------- Hobostubs
