Recently got back into blues harp after many years. Been listening to all the old greats which has been an inspiration but now want some recommendations of where to go from there. Love blues and harmonica but also love a good wailing guitar, any albums/artists out there that combine the two? More modern rock blues?

this isn't remotely in the same league as the others in this thread, but it is rock harp:

Interestingly, I enjoyed the last clip as much as any of the others.
I thought the harp player was at least showing his passion.

They've faded from the mainstream a bit, but you can't go wrong with Huey Lewis and the News.

Well, I'm having a ball listening to all your recommendations. They are all great but I'm just loving Jason Ricci.

Yeah, I like this thread too, if for no other reason than I had a real hard time coming up with something to contribute. I love both guitar and harp, but every song/band I could come up with that had wailing guitar had no harp...and every harp driven song didn't have wailing guitar.

Not saying they don't exist (this thread proves that), it's just something about my own tastes that I just realized, (ie: love both instruments but rarely prominenetly featured in the same band.

Edit: how could I have not at least recommended J. Geils band? ..then again somehow I don't think they're what the OP is looking for, wait...that J. Ricci clip.....stop right now.............you've found it.

I bought the J.Geils live album, enjoyable but maybe a little dated now. I grew up with 70's music, great buy I'm trying to move on to more recent stuff.
Jason Ricci's videos are awesome, he sure is a showman. However after listening to iTunes sound bites of his albums they didnt live up to expectations.
Been listening to souls bites of Andy Just's album and will buy that tonight.
Thanks for all the recommendations and keep em comming, this is really opening up a lot of listening for me and I hope for others too.
