The subject line is a quote from one of Adams recent posts. It is why I come to this site. I’m pretty sure Adam does not agree with all of the opinions expressed here but, if they are constructive or somehow serve to advance music he allows and welcomes the input.
Lately there have been many heated discussions on this site resulting in locked threads and other such nonsense. I wanted to thank Adam and all of the resident performers, clowns, artists, labors and others that nourish this “Big Top” community. I often agree, disagree and occasionally give up on the discussions on this forum.
I applaud Adam for keeping this tent aloft and open. It is through the challenges of these discussions that I have been reminded to enjoy and be critical of what I hear: and, to cement the accomplishments of the past greats not as a monument but, as a foundation on which to build.

There definitely are some 'asses' performing in this Big Top, but by far there is a wealth of information to be gleaned from it.
I sometimes open a thread thinking 'there won't be anything in there for me', which shows up my arrogance when I find there is.

Three cheers for the three rings... in the center ring we have lip pursing vs. tongue blocking. To my left we have gender and race issues, and to our right religion in the blues. On tightrope, Adam Gussow, holding the whole place together.
I like the big tent. I really do.
