Personally, if I had to choose, I prefer Brendan Powers solos - (just kidding, inside joke)...Loved that song, thank you for sharing!

Beautiful.

Maybe because it's acoustic, it's the nicest stuff I've heard Jason play.

Really like this. But then I am fan of acoustic harp over amplified/distorted harp. Don't get me wrong I like both but I find myself gravitating toward the more acoustic/lightly effected end of the spectrum on what I prefer to listen to. But on the other hand some ripping distorted harp is good at times too :)

@shadoe

yeah, know what you mean..

my ideal set up now at the jam is a good pa with an SM58 on the stand + a small harp hamp and mic

I need that wha wha on the hands!! But still good to shift gear and rasp out..

Damn, Jason would make one helluva Bluegrass harp player. This stuff reminds me of Mike Stevens.

Jason is so versatile. His work on this tune reminds me a lot of Norton Buffalo.

@Lmbrjak

Well I picked up on this on last nights blues show on BBC Radio here in England.

The show is and has been presented by Paul Jones of Manfred Mann fame in the 60's and now plays and sings with the Blues Band. Very good harp player.

As I have, and as we ALL have, been entranced by JR's prowess over the last few years, Paul neglected to play anything by him on his show.

There was a rumour that Paul objected to Jason's 'religous issues' in the past, him being a Christian I believe.

Anyway I was surprised and pleased to hear that last night, and Greg is right, his versatility is astounding.

You should check out BBC i player.

Jason's acoustic sounds are generally quite elegant. One of the things that draws me to his playing is the juxtaposition of delicate notes often of very effeminate quality delivered acoustically coupled with rapid fire machine gun, jack hammer amplified delivery.

It's worth noting that this clip was recorded 10 plus years ago. Keith had a steady Wednesday night gig at the Bamboo Room in Lake Worth, Florida. Jason was living a couple blocks away. Eventually, it became a trio with Jason and Mark Telesca on bass. GREAT stuff.
