I was trying to think what my favorite album was and I realized I rarely listen to albums as albums anymore.
I grew up on a Beatles greatest hits album (the blue one, the later part of their career.) I'm particularly fond of an album, Victoria Williams 'Sweet Relief'. It's an album with a bunch of Victoria Williams covers by various grunge and other bands. (Sweet Relief is an organization that helps musicians with serious medical conditions.)

@Andrew: A man after my own heart.
Growing up, it'd have to be U2's The Joshua Tree. Now, I might give the nod to "The Wild Hunt" by The Tallest Man On Earth, especially in terms of influence. It's really an impossible question to answer, though.

Of all the albums i've owned the one that ive listened to the most is the John Mayall Bluesbreakers one from the sixties. Guess that makes it my favourite.Had a big influence on me to .Claptons' Steppin' Out is still my favourite guitar instrumental.

For a long time, my favorite album was Slayer, "Reign in Blood".
Then, it was Led Zeppelin III.
But now... I don't really have a favorite. It's impossible to say, because I listen to a lot of different things. Even in blues, I cannot say. How could I choose between Junior Wells "Hoodoo man blues", Robert Johnson's complete recordings, Skip James, Kokomo Arnold, Blind Willie McTell, Howlin' Wolf...

"Concerto!" by Jim Hall (Paul Desmond, Chet Baker et al) maybe...but its a tough call...Hoodoo Man Blues is on high rotation for the last 7 years, "Johnny Winter" i keep playing, but especially for Drown in My Own Tears...Cannonball Adderley's Autumn Leaves...and Towards the Blues by Chain
