A little footage from last Wednesday's jam. Me sitting in with John Lisi(on right) and Jeff Chaz. I haven't played in a couple of months-it felt good, warts and all.
Great stuff Todd, all up and down the harp. And with the stubble and long sleeves the warts hardly show at all. ---------- MBH Webbrain - a GUI guide to Adam's Youtube vids FerretCat Webbrain - Jason Ricci's vids (by hair colour!)
Thanks, everyone. Life dealt me an entire lemon tree late last year, but I'm happy to say I'm making lemonade now...Getting better every day.
pharpo-I probably will not make it for sure, and Harvey and co. may opt for SPAH in Dallas, but not sure about the whole gang.
geordie-thank you sir. When you've got got two monster guitarists and a killer rhyhthm section behind you, the music just flows from you. It's always a treat to play with folks like that.
blue-I think I'm wart-free, but I might need someone to check me for ticks. Hey, it's Valentine's Day-could happen tonight.
jbone- thanks sir. Y'all let me know if you head down to Teddy's Juke Joint again-I'll organize a Crescent City Harmonica Club field trip.
harper-Thank you. One good thing about having rough times is that you've got plenty of material to draw from afterwards.
Tuckster-Haha, not so sure I'd call anything about my life normal-now or ever-but it gets more interesting all the time.
Thanks, everyone. Frank-good point you raise about the frontman being nice...The guy singing and playing is Jeff Chaz, and the one on the right is John Lisi, who runs the jam here every other Wednesday. This was near the beginning of the jam, so John's band(Delta Funk)was still onstage. They're all pros. This jam draws a lot of pros and players of high caliber on all instruments. Also, you'll get a few less proficient or newer players. What I like about it is that those folks get treated with as much respect as the pros here. There's no condescension or aloofness, or looking down at anyone. It's a very friendly, comfy feel, and that's one reason it's such a long-running jam. Oh, and did I mention it's harp-friendly? ---------- Todd L. Greene
Thanks, Kingley. Yes, it's fun to play with guys like that who know what they're doing, and I don't worry about having to hold the structure together. ---------- Todd L. Greene
