I'm trying without too much success to learn SUMMERTIME as played by Christelle on youtube. If you haven't seen it, it's great, just like all of her music.

If someone has TABBED this it would be a great help to me.

Thanks.

Here's Mark Ford's version of Summertime. Played in 2nd position. If you didn't know of Mark Ford before this, you will now.

Love summertime. Here's an address where you can get the melody line in scale degrees, that way you can choose position yourself. Christelle plays in second I think. The song is in minor so it's easier in third. Starting on six draw. But you probably knew that.

You can get the backin track christelle used from jazzbacks.com it's available in Am. I have a version on my YT in third. If you want to i can tab the melody line in third for you.

But can't tab christelles stuff...

It lays out real nice on a natural minor harp too.

Here's my simple 3'd P version to inspire you - ha. I think she is playng it in 3'd too- but doing a heck of a lot more with it. If you can't find tab for her version you could try using some slow downer software or an iphone app. Better yet - do a skype lesson with her- I believe she posted that she is now doing thsoe.

@ pistolcat - love the opening to your video version

@ bonedog - thank you! There's a lot of summertime on YT so I thought I spruce it up some. I liked your version. Nice tone! The backing track were somewhat lacking though, I would have liked more framing around your playing. I was so happy with the backing track I found to my video that I was tempted to lay out all together :)

@ Pistolcat - yeah, my 'backing track' is just a beat loop from Apple logic - or one I cut from something else I sampled, - can't remember. Im just an old dog deperately trying to be 'hip'. What can I say - -

I will look into getting the one you refrence above. - It is really good.
