Anyone here play harp with a Univox? I had a chance to play through one last weekend, a 2X10. Man, what an unsung hero! I don't remember ever seeing a 2X10 amp from any maker, but this one is just right for harp. Pretty loud, breaks up easily, terrific vintage tone. Are these rare? I'd grab one if I could find it. Guy who owned it bought back in the 60's and used it with a Strat.

I have one, yes, really nice amp. Mine has 2 original Jensen P10R's. I agree, other than Gibson I don't know of any 2X10 tube amps. Here's an amp with twice the power of a Champ, fitted with bigger speakers and a tone control, that still has that Champ growl. Here's an interesting link. It seems Butter played one!

Peavey makes the Delta Blues in a 2X10. They have for several years now.

'63 Vibroverb both the reissue and of course the original were 2x10. The reissue is a very good harp amp after the prerequisite 12at7 for 12ax7 tube swap and a speaker change.

There's also the Vibrolux: Blackface (excellent), Silverface (same as a Blackface if you get an early one) and the Custom Vibrolux Reverb (okay I guess)

Then, of course, there is the original Tweed Fender Super, basically a Bassman with 2x10s and it's predecessor the Dual Professional, also 2x10 and as I understand it the first combo amp to use more than one speaker.

I'm sure there are others I am forgetting.

Forgot about the Fenders. I can't say that I've heard any harp players using them, but then again, they bring big bucks and we all know harp players are cheap!
