Despite the saturation (which wasn't actually all that noticeable -- did you slap on some compression to cover it up?), you both sounded great and on point. I happen to like the slightest bit of saturation on recorded tracks right now -- makes them sound real.
Loved it! And, Christelle, the clipping/peaking, or saturation as you call it, isn't bad or noticeable much at all - I tend to agree with tf10music that it seems to add a nice effect on this particular jam.
It was fun afternoon of food, wine and music, and Christelle blew me away by giving me a Greg Heumann Ultimate 57 with Bulletizer. What a gift! - thanks Christelle, will use it tonight on my gig in Jakarta :-)
I tuned one of her harps to Paddy Richter, will look forward to seeing what that inspires in this most melodic and passionate of harp players.
My first instinct was to flush all my harps down the toilet. This sort of virtuosity can be intimidating. BUT...fortunately enough for me, there is enough bad harp playing out there for me to feel good about myself again...after a while.
It was great to see and hear you guys playing together. I love your playing styles as individual players, and to hear you together wailing away was way cool.
The best part of the whole video for me was that Christelle was smiling so naturally, so big and so often it was almost hard for her to play!!!! That made my day. I hope these recent happenings inspire you to continue getting out there and making more friends. There was joy in this music!!!!
Christelle and Brendan, thanks for the great music, the smiles and the laughter...it infectious :)
Am blown away. If I get a couple of Olives I'll be able to play that way right? Gonn aput a couple of olives in a martini and contemplate it. ---------- Twitter ~ BossoBrewingCo
