Looks like they are all gone for the moment, I don't see them listed any more on Ron's site, unless they have been moved off the front page.

My Stage I™ harmonicas have most of the same advanced reedwork as my upper stages. It's a smokin' harp if you're a non-overblower. All three stages are identical in many respects including embossing.
Upper stages have additional labor needed for overblow applications only. There's nothing done to Stage I™ to intentionally prevent it from being an overblow harp, it just doesn't have the additional attention to insure them.
In other words, if you don't overblow, you wouldn't notice much if any difference between any of them. They're all very responsive with loud volume, airtight bends, and strobe tuned.
Rockin' Ron has a few right now but they're going fast. This arrangement will continue periodically, as a way to reach new customers who (believe it or not) have never even heard of "custom" harps, or those who have but are skeptical about placing an order and waiting.

@ harpwrench - These are modified harps, not custom harps made to individual user specifications, correct? either way I am sure they play great.

The Stage 1 S20's are truly amazing...just as Joe claims...loud..responsive..awesome bend capabilities..look and feel great and sound so alive. This is great for Joe...Ron and all of us to be able to purchase a Spiers Harmonica without the expected wait time.
