Me and my bro playing a classic blues/jazz tune called watermelon man! A few mistakes here and there and also the camera seems to make a kind of piercing noise on some high notes. But oh well. ::)

That was nice, keep at it! Tell your brother to keep playing that bass too, he'll be popular man in a few years!

Bluesharper that sounds alright man! You guys are good wish I could do that.

Don't worry too much about a "few mistakes here & there" from what I gathered listening to jazz those guys cared more about feeling then right & wrong :) .

What model is your chromatic of choice, just curious?

Nice groove great bass work. Try to learn it in the original key. It lay great on the chromatic.
A lot of jazz blues is played in F so it's a good key to learn to play in. For the F blues scale experiment with the E#.

LOVE it!! I love the tune. I love the upright bass.
I love seeing young people putting stuff like this out.
Do you play chromatic exclusively? I started out on chrom, but my chromatic harps have been collecting dust for the last couple years. This makes me want to pick it up again.

I was disappointed by this - but only because it stopped suddenly when clearly you had more to play.
Great work

nice!
i like seeing the chromatic harmonica played like...well a chromatic harp. i've nothing against 3rd position blues, i kinda dig it actually, but i prefer hearing the chro played as it was intended to be played.

you and your bro have a really excellent sense of time.

diggs suggestion of learning it in the original key is a good one because if you sit in with cats who know the tune they will expect to play it in F and not have to transpose on the spot.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! I play a Hohner Super 64 right now. I have started to lean towards chromatic rather than the diatonic but I play both.
Thanks again!

Well, well ...
All bassplayers are cool and get all the girls, specially with the double bass and such GOOD playing. But let's leave that to some bass forum, until you start playing the double bass harmonica! :-) Great monster instrument when amplified. Check it out.

But bluesharper, you've got IT! Good tone and some really nice jazzy runs.

Really nice work! You really got into the groove after the head. I've started dabble with this song on the diatonic in second position and will listen some to your video to get some ideas for the solo parts.

Keep them coming!

That was pretty good!
Like you said a couple goofs here and there, but you know how to play the chrom.
Keep up the good work.
Now you guys need to find a jazz drummer your age that likes to use brushes. That would sound cool with you two.
