I put this new band together called "Firebelly". Here's a promotional video of the band
Could you help me out by going on our facebook page and "liking" it? here's the facebook adress: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Firebelly/190110031085946
Thnaks so much and all the best to all of you in 2012!
I went and liked you on Facebook. If you haven't already, I'd appreciate you doing the same for http://facebook.com/blowsmeawayproductions
I have a suggestion as well. If you want that video to serve as a promotional video, it needs to be SHORTER. Drum and bass solos are appreciated by the fewest people, and they don't represent the band. You have 1:20 of that before we even get to hear the band, and if I was looking for bands, you would have lost me already. I don't care if you have Art Blakey and Jaco Pastorius, I would encourage you to skip that section. To promote the band, give me a taste of 3 or 4 different grooves with a few solo snippets and some vocals, get your message on the screen while that is happening, provide plenty of contact info, and get the hell out of there. ---------- /Greg
Greg's advise is spot on as usual. Put yourself in the position of the bar owner, agent or booker inundated by demos and requests for a gig. If you don't grab them in the first 10-30 seconds they WILL move on. ---------- LSC
