Looking for a replacement comb for my Super Chromonica in G. Any suggestions?
Plastic? Wood? Guano?

Guano. Definitely. :)
I've played wood combs, plastic combs and metal combs. The cheap wood combs that come on a MB are a pain, but once you get into fully sealed custom combs they are just as durable as the plastics. Then there are Dymonwood and Corian combs. I had one acrylic comb, but it cracked where the screw was real close to the edge. Once you get past the basic combs it becomes a matter of what you want it to look like. Chris Reynolds (Builder of Stuff) and Randy Sandoval both make great looking combs. So does David Payne (Elk River Harmonics) (if he is making them again?) Tom Halchak (Florida Trader- I think he changed it- oh, what was the new name?) had some great looking aluminum combs. Most of them deal mostly with the really standard models though.
I don't know if you are a Mythbusters fan, but they made shiny balls of poo. I'm still not sure I'd go the guano route though, even if it does shine up nice.
They all should sound the same. I'm not going to take on the challenge of whether different comb materials make a difference in sound, but enough people with really good ears think it doesn't (and they have some physics to back them up) so that I'll say for most people it's about aesthetics and durability, with a little bit of how it feels on your lips thrown in, and once you get past the stock model wood ones they are all pretty good.

Nate thanks for the info.
I have heard that the guano combs have a real earthy tone.
Anything advice specific to chromatics?

Nate was on the right path- check out Chris Reynolds. Follow the link below. He has acrylic, corian, and brass. You'd have to make an inquiry regarding that guano special order though ;)

Earthy tone to be sure, except I've heard certain models emit a high pitch that only they can hear. :)
I've got a Reynolds comb. It is a thing of beauty.
