I don't know- maybe musicians melt in the rain. The regular crowd made it to the bar for open mic tonight but we were the only act that showed up... so we got to play... and play... and play... good thing we were all rehearsed up for our first gig (which is in another week.) It was good to get some extra practice in before the show. I think we ended up doing 9 songs. I got to play 2 of the three songs I sing lead on (and the third one is an old song from our old garage band so I've got it burned into my brain from the old days!)

I don't really get 'stage fright'... I get excited, but it's not 'fright' it's excitement. Sometimes it has the same effect (forgetting lyrics, playing too loud) but it's a pleasant sensation, completely like a panic attack. A panic attack is the feeling I get when the cute girl in the audience actually talked to me at the bar after the show! Talk about forgetting all my lines. :)

We may actually get some video at our show, so maybe you'll all finally get a chance to see a middle-aged-fat man getting tired from breathing in and out and standing in one place!

Cheers and happy holidays. Music stuff checked off- now back to Skyrim.

I hate rainy days because it means no busking or at least no outdoors action.
But good on ya Nate! Extra rehearsal time is always useful. I've been meaning to ask, can one say to a musician 'Break a leg' or is this reserved for thespians? Seriously, I don't know...
Maybe we should say 'blow a reed' or some such for harp players...
Anyway, have a blast!
