Yeah. I live in NJ/NY area. I hate spending shipping and handling on amazon for blues music. Anyone know any good Blues Music stores around the upper east New Jersey area/ Manhattan area? I would really appreciate it... North Jersey Area is perfectly fine too.

have you looked at cdbaby? If I'm reading it correct regular US mail shipping is free for 5 or more cds.
Can also download mp3 albums. Good selection as well.

I live in the same area and don't know of any place. I usually order CD's from Amazon but I buy used. I usually get CD's for 2 0r 3 bucks.

Shipping from Amazon is FREE if you spend a minimum of $25 per order. So, buy 3-4 albums at a time.

Used CDs can be good from Amazon or Half.com or Ebay but ever since I started buying mp3s and don't have the increasing pile of CDs coming in I've just done that, saves space. If you're anything like me and likes tons of different styles & genres of music saving space is good, lol!

So, Amazon, CDBaby, iTunes, etc. you can buy and download mp3 albums straight to your computer. I wasn't really thrilled about buying non tangible stuff myself until one day I started doing it, you could put them on a burnable CD. I back up the files on external disc & put them on my iPod plus Amazon has a cloud storage if you need to re-download (unlike those bums at tradebit).

Wait... you can still buy physical CD's? (The last 3 albums, at least, that I have bought, have been digital.)

Pakman - I also live in the NJ/NYC area. Why not listen to The Blues Hour from 3 pm to 4 pm daily on WBGO FM (88.3). You can listen to artists, then go to a website where you can purchase song downloads and make your own cd's (that's what I do).

I'm not into all the new fangled technology. I have no iphone nor do I have or use ipads notebooks or whatever. But I do have a computer and I do have a USB. I usualy buy a CD then rip it in Windows media player then sync it to my USB then plug that into my car. It doesn't seem to work with mp3 for some reason. My car has a USB port and it only seems to read/play wma files. Unless it's me.
I have about 15 albums on that thing thus far.
