Anyone else besides me dislike the new YouTube channel design? At least they gave the option to switch back to the old design, which I did, though I'm not sure how long that will remain as an option.
Why does it seem that anytime something works fine as it is, they always change it? What ever happened to "if it ain't broke don't fix it"?

Yes, I dislike it as well, I echo EVERYTHING you wrote. I particularly like how it just appeared as the default, not "we have this new interface, if you are interested in using it click here, you can click back to he old one if you don't like it". My first experience with it was on a friday night when I was all set to use it as the music for a party i was hosting. It just sucks to see a new interface, i'm like ok WTF?? figured it out but even a few minutes seemed like a long time when i just wanted to play one of my playlists.

I'm not keen on it either - it's like someone switched my sofa without asking me. And I'm especially not keen on the little yellow box that pops up every time I log in trying to take me on an unwanted 'tour' of new features. Surely there must be a way of stopping that - have I missed it?

I don't like it. I don't get it either. Is that supposed to be easier? To be honest it makes me less interested in viewing anyones page that has it.

Really don't like it, at least for now. It's very confusing. I've only just started having a youtube account about a week before they change it so now I'm completely lost.

I second everyone's opinion. Feels like they threw up a very early beta-version of something that could become nifty waaaay down the line. For now it just suck.
I'm sticking with it though, because I think Todd is right about that the old interface will probably stop entirely soon.

I hate it. After I watch a vid, it doesn't let me delete it from view. If I don't want to watch a vid, it doesn't let me delete it. Way too much clutter.

I was tormented at first when I saw the switch, and immediately the horror of sites like MySpace and Facebook and their painfully stupid coding and user interfaces overtook me. But like everything else, I just sorta let it slowly absorb itself and I don't notice much of the interface change anymore. Granted, the only thing I do with Youtube is watch videos and sometimes comment on them, and favorite a few that I want to more easily find again. If I were a more active or diverse user of the site, the change might piss me off. For now? Change is always annoying (unless it suits me, of course) ;) but it's not really killin' me the way Youtube did it.

i didn't mind it particularly, but the code is broken. when i try to change the featured video, i select one, the dialog goes away, but nothing changes. i switched back to the old one.
if you're not happy, make sure and send them comments. it may or may not help, but doing nothing but complaining here certainly won't.

I don't think sending YouTube comments will help either. All of these sites do whatever they wanna do when it really comes down to it. Sure, you can say it's free, which is true... but if they continue to piss off the people who use the site and these users start going elsewhere, sites like this can potentially lose money. After all, they make their money from people clicking ads, etc. So, they should keep their users happy in my opinion.

How do you switch back to the old version ?
I also don't like being able to remove something that I already watched so it simplifies what I haven't watchet yet... that's my biggest grip so far, but I pretty much just watch the channels that I have subscribed to.
