This is a clip from a tune I tried to learn today over lunch:
I am still trying to figure out my recording gear to share tunes from a controlled enviroment. Here is my most recent effort...yes, I am reading from a lyric sheet and make up the arrangement as I go.
I know it isn't "demo" quality, but I think it will be a solid setup for sharing stuff like this. I have a couple bugs to work out, but the balance seems to be at least good enough to record rehearsal and such.
I forgot to set my looper to unity, so that is why sometimes the volume drops on the loop. That made the vocals/lead harp a little hot. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas VHT Special 6 Mods

The recording quality sounds good to me. What's your set up.

I got frustrated with trying to record direct, and just put a Zoom recorder in front of my monitor, lol.
So you're hearing how I had it mixed for the room.
Thanks!!! ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas VHT Special 6 Mods

Zoom Q3HD with just the audio on. The huge con here is everything is mixed before recording. I actually have three channels going into the mixer and then out the monitor.
I really only need two channels, but I had three already set up. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas VHT Special 6 Mods

Slightly OT, but wouldn't it be great if a piece of software could listen to a room mic and track recordings and try to to mix the track recordings to sound like the room recording, only with tracks so you could still fine tune it? Maybe it could even show you the rough formula it used on any given track!
