I need a little help here.
For years i've been seeing mention of a Blues Cruise on Harp -L but haven't paid too much attention in that i live in New Zealand.(apart from being jealous )
Well things have reached a point where it is possible that I(we) can maybe (a) afford it and (B) have the time to do it.
So i go on the Net to check it out and there seems to be lots of them?
Can any of you point me in the right direction for the one to go for?

We are thinking 2012 anytime after June /july
TIA

Yep, Bluescruise.com is the one. It's one of those things you should do at least once in your life if, you're in to the Blues. Many of the cruisers have been multiple times. I'll go again one day, but it's just too much $$$ to go every year (or twice a year as some of them do).

My girlfriend and I just came back from The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise in the Pacific last month. We are booked for next October in the Caribbean. Magic Dick will be on that cruise, as well as Derek Trucks/Susan Tedeschi Band, and the Brooks family (Lonnie Brooks, Ronnie Baker Brooks and Wayne Baker Brooks) Trampled Under Foot, James Harmon, Taj Mahal Trio etc etc. The January 2012 cruise is sold out.

Billy Branch was on the cruise last month as well as Charlie Musselwhite. It was awesome.

My inlaws have taken that cruise every year for several years, sometimes twice a year. They love it, and my father in law keeps relating one-on-one conversations he has with people like Rick Estrin, Charlie Musselwhite....really rubs it in.
