That's a pretty cool idea. You're right. They need a certain critical mass to get things going. That said, they are using a pay model for a product that can basically be set up for free using Google. Perhaps their pay model can help them with the advertising to reach that critical mass.

Teachers can always add a pin to our map and put their information on the pin. All we'd need to do is pick a pin to indicate teachers. We could even get fancy and add layers. The light blue flags already indicate a harp manufacturer. With a little tidying up on the icons we could indicate customizers, teachers, manufacturers, museums, harp clubs, venues... if people are interested and willing to give some feedback I'd be willing to spend some time creating layers and stuff.

I signed up for the free service part.
Maybe someday I'll be on the MBH list when
my prodigal student Ryan recommends me.
Now he just complains when I come to
the same jam he's at.LOL
