Hi Guys,
It looks like I will be moving from London to San Francisco at the start of next year. I would really appreciate if you share some local knowledge with me.
What I am interested in is the blues/jazz clubs, good placed to hang out, etc. I know that there is Jazz academy in Berkeley, which is about 35 mile from Foster City, the place where I will be working but that's about it.
Anything you know about the area would be greatly appreciated.

We've got a few Bay Area folks here-JoeL for one, and Greg H lives close enough to know what's up and far enough to deny any involvement. Beautful place-I lived there as a kid, and my mother still lives in Marin County. I've read and heard that there's a great scene there, so you should be in good company.

I do believe Huey Lewis can still be found perusing the scene in that town. At least according to his blog. He started out in that town after all.

You don't worry about it. That list has stuff that's 100 miles away. You can't go to everything. You learn quickly to pick and choose carefully.
