Out of the total blue I recently reconnected with an old High School friend I hadn't seen in 22 years who was the drummer in our short lived punk band.

Serendipitously an opportunity out of the blue came to play for tips at a flea market popped up and I asked him if he would play with me and he courageously accepted.

Following are some of the songs we played with no rehearsal and some made up on the spot.

There are plenty of clams but what do you think?

Thanks, eharp!

Yes I am keeping at it with my drummer. When I contacted him out of the blue it was like he was waiting for me, an immediate yes and he's a real joyful guy, so far we work great together.

Now we are looking for a bass player...

You got what it takes.
That drummer laid a SOLID groove.
You've got some chops too.
With a little polish, you two could make some serious music (or not serious, as you choose)

Thank you Jim, Jodan and Tooka. All of you are guys whose opinions I value.

You've made my day!

By the way Jodan, great playing as always on your slow blues post. Lots of mood and atmosphere!

Yeah, you work well together. You've got some nice tone, and some good riffs. He keeps a great groove and his volume was just right.

@ shanester

Very tasty man! Keep at it! Looking for a bass player? I know they're hard to find, but if you DO find one that plays an upright...whoa baby! Three piece's with an upright are out of this world cool.

Thank you for the acknowledgement guys, I really appreciate it! Todd, I look forward to the day when I can invoke my honorary status and come hang with you wildcats in The Big Easy again!

Now, back to my regularly scheduled deathmarch!
