wow this is a pain the ass trying to down load pics on THIS forum. I can build cars, and I can build houses, BUT I can't down load a stupid picture on this computer I'm going to keep trying though. Well to answer your question . it's a '30 chevy p/u thats totally been hot rodded, it's only 38" to the top of the cab.has a home built frame, I think I built this one aliitle to close to the ground, but it sure does handle great.
My ex-wife's uncle has a '35 Ford pickup. The body and chassis of it however, are the only things Ford about it. Everything mechanical in that baby is Chevy. LOL ---------- Hawkeye Kane
Touching back on my DeLorean, I caught this on yahoo the other day. Interesting! I knew this guy had been selling rebuilt DMC's for a while now, but if he can get this to an efficient stage, it may bring it back altogether!
AND, touching back on the Ford Evos concept... Ford has stated they have no intention of putting it into production. A shame. The exterior absolutely smacks of an American take on an Aston Martin. Beautiful. And I bet it'd give Tesla and Fisker a run for their money in the electric sports car race. Although slamming one of Ford's beefed up V8's, or better yet, their all-aluminum V10 in it would make one hell of a nice counterpart to the Mustang in Ford's lineup.
Alright, I'll leave this thread alone for a while.

Whoa-some designer for FoMoCo is an Aston Vantage fan for sure...very sharp-looking ride. A shame it probably won't see production. Or, Ford might do what they did with the newest Ranger-only release it in Australia or somewhere other than the U.S.
Yeah, even though I'm a die-hard Chevy man, I do give Ford credit where credit is due, and the Ranger is no exception. I hate to see the mini-trucks meeting their demise. I've owned two S-10's and loved them both dearly, but to this day I refuse to buy a Colorado or a Canyon. U-G-L-Y. Never made any sense to me why they enlarged the body of the truck, and then put a smaller engine in it, regardless of horsepower. Although now they've finally decided to equip them with V8's. Took them long enough. I always wanted a GMC Syclone. I've driven one before. Those suckers can outstrip Corvettes!
I love Australia, if for no other reason, then for the fact that the El Camino is still sold there in the form of the Holden Ute.
I still curse GM's decision to axe Pontiac. If they hadn't we'd be seeing these babies stateside as the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck.

I owned a '94 Ranger for 12 years. Still ran strong with right at 200,000 miles on it then, and only ever had regular maintenance done on it. If the Aussie Ranger were available here, I'd probably be driving one instead of my Camaro...but no regrets here! ---------- Todd L. Greene

I had a mint 80 CBX, looked just like yours, sport kit and all. I couldn't find anyone to work on it so I sold it about 10 years ago. Guy who bought it turned around and sold it to a museum in Florida. Nothing sounded as good and that midrange grunt never ceased to amaze me.
I just bought another CBX-1982 with bags and fairing-25 years after I bought the first one-I am purchasing it from the same guy who sold be my first CBX-funny how that works--

here is my 1963 cadillac Park Ave that traveled the country pulling a trailer and my band for 20 years. It was featured in this video as well. Dwight and Pete Anderson convinced their label to let them make a video. They revolutionized how videos were done with the quick movement from scene to scene. I had my rent paid that month by them for using the car. I also had a 1959 cadillac limo, 1968 roadrunner. Walter

I have pictures of lots of cars I used to have, but my scanner doesn't work. Several GTX's, Challenger R/T's, T/A's, SuperBees, a 340 Swinger and GTS, Road Runners, a '36 Dodge coupe with a Max Wedge'd 440 that made the cover of Rod & Custom, a Hemi-powered '39 Dodge, a '50 Chevy coupe lead sled, many more that I won't bore you with. Back in the day it was fun to cruise the gravel roads looking for cars. I'd drag them out of someone's fence row and my brother would pull me home with a log chain. Then it was fix it up, street race all summer, then sell it and do another one. Then they became expensive "investments" and those magic days were over. So I switched to Harley-Davidsons, which is another story with lots of "used to have" vintage iron. I still own and ride my first Panhead (1948 FL), and a Street Glide that I've sunk way too much into.
I built this '48 F1 for my dad back in the '90s. I fabbed a front subframe and installed all MoPar suspension and driveline. Chopped, dropped, sectioned, and much more. He stopped driving it, and I bought it from him a couple years ago. This one has been in the family for decades, and isn't going anywhere.
Here's my newest muscle car. Running two batteries in series this little for wheel drive will run 50+. It's touchy, if I'm not careful it will flip on take off. That's going forward or in reverse. You can get top speeds around 80mph with the right batteries and gearing but as it is I always have new parts on order so I'll leave well enough alone right now. I can unleash the beast within me and repairs are relatively cheap. Last year I did a hard launch with my Cyclone and bent the leaf springs backward; A $700 repair. My first crash with this car only cost me around $16 in parts.
I am now the proud owner of my first mopar muscle car! This is a 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible with a 440 four barrel. It originally had a 383 but who cares, it's a 440! I was invited to a presale event for an estate auction. Items were priced and if you wanted it at that price it was yours. Or, you could leave a sealed bid and they had the option of accepting or rejecting the hi bidder. My instincts told me to throw one price but something in the back of my head told me to up it another $500 so I did. Good thing because I beat the next highest bidder by $300 and they took my offer. It is a great car and can't wait to add it to our collection.
How ironic! I've had my eye on one of those for some time now. There's a HUGE classic car dealership an hour south of me in Staunton. The guy is overpriced on a lot of his inventory, and he charges you ten bucks just to walk onto his lot, but he's got some really cool stuff.
They've had this Coronet 500 drop top for a LONG time now. I've just been biding my time while their price diminishes. It still has it's 383, but hell that ain't a block to sneeze at.
I haven't been able to pick up the car yet. I am curious what engine she came with. Hey Mopar guys, I am looking for a stock air cleaner and stock valve covers to replace the aftermarket stuff so if you have it and want to sell it let me know.

I think the gloths point was that while clearly not thought of as a "muscle" car, for him, the humble little Ford Escort proved to be quite a little durable, resilient, SOB of a vehicle.
FWIW, the European Escort wasn't, but the North American Escort was manufactured in Edison, NJ and Wayne, MI as well as in Hermosillo, Mexico and Oakville, Ontario. ---------- Hawkeye Kane

Did Mopar even make a posi for the Coronet by that point? I remember my cousin's woes at trying to find one for his '67 340 Dart. ---------- Hawkeye Kane

@LIPRIPPER- The info I found pints to less than 120 big block Coronet 440 convertibles built-http://www.sunsetclassics.com/1967-dodge-coronet-convertible/
The Dana 60 was available in Chrysler passenger vehciles starting in 1966-it was known then as the "Power-Lok"-later as "Track-Lok"
My son will turn three on Sunday. For the last six months, he's absolutely been in love with Disney/Pixar's "Cars". Today, I took him to his doctor's office for his 3-year checkup. And what should be parked there in the lot, but a 1953 Hudson Hornet. So, as an early birthday surprise, Liam got to meet Doc Hudson in the flesh (or maybe the fenders as it were). ;-)

Cute, hawk On topic of ford ranger, that thing is a Mazda bt 50 with ford panels. Ford Australia just closed down. Or announced the date they will close. Their products have been pretty crap for a long time, Ranger no exception. Toyota isn't what it once was, but after all the comparisons I went for the Hilux. So farsogood. Basic, no frills, nothing to break down. Your basic hard-riding buzz box with belts for 6 and a 5'square tub. I love them 60s muscle cars...I even choose movies so I can see the old cars...dirty Harry etc...but I don't want to own that kind of headache...I'm content with a mantelpiece of die cast. I've had 6 Falcons, the best by far was the 67 XR, but my 75 XB 302 4 door was sweet and clean. My brother parked it in his sleep, he was gonna park it in the front end of an oncoming MACK, but put it into a pole instead. They had to climb out through the rear window. Lost a 12" section of his small intestine. I had to sell my 64 XM sedan to buy my wife a XF wagon. That XM was overweight if you ask me, but it looked nice. The XF wasn't s great design in some ways but I owned it for 15 years and it was probably the most useful vehicle I've had. Replaced it with a dual fuel EL wagon...meh...not as good, but no rust. The XF had better all round visibility, handling and bigger load space. But now, a Hilux ute. 5 speed. 60000 miles, straight, clean, boring. My truck. Gonna put my name and addy on the side and park in loading zones.
Personally, I like the old Mercs. When I was a kid, they were the most prestigious vehicle I'd see on a semi-regular basis. These days, they kind of lost their prestige, but I still like the old ones. That pic reminds me of a time I was hitch hiking and the ride I got caught fire in similar circumstance. At least it distracted the driver from his planned mission to save my eternal soul before he'd let me out of his car...
Here is my only Super Car. 330,000 miles +, original drive line. This will tow 4,000 lbs up the steepest hill in the county. Did it many times. Was out mud boggin a couple of days ago. LOL
