Just wondering if anyone's found country harmonica instruction on Youtube that's along the lines of the great stuff Adam's posted over the past few years.

I haven't found it, but I've heard Mickey Raphael has some instructionals somewhere. I'd put my money on him considering he's played for Willie all these years.

Thanks, guys. If Mickey's ever done anything, I'd be very surprised. I met him a couple times, once for a lesson of sorts (ended up being more like a hang-out session), and he never mentioned anything like that. I'll hunt around for J.P. Allen.

There was a guy named Marcos who put out some videos but didn't find anything on youtube. There is Charlie McCoy not much teaching but tons of tunes.
I talked to Buddy Greene about putting out something.
He said he needed a little break since he just finished his CD but to bug him in the future about doing something. I told him I would give him 90 days he said ok Grace, he 30 left.
I'm a closet country player so I hope he does something soon or you'll be stuck with me playing this.LOL

I like this question. I don't think Madcat should be ignored.

@Diggs

Buddy is one guy that I think gets overlooked a lot, possibly because he's mainly classified as a gospel artist. But I remember watching the Gaither Homecoming specials as a kid. He and Mark Lowry, a hero of mine, wrote that beautiful Christmas song "Mary Did You Know?", and when the two of them perform it together, Buddy busts out the harp and plays a mournful interlude. Always brings a tear to me eye.

EDIT: Found it!

I would love to see somethings from Buddy Greene... he's an awesome player who can play blues, country, bluegrass, and whatever he can feel.

He's one of my most recent favorite players.

I also have been searching for country lessons & would love to see something from Buddy Greene who is one of my favourite players. A year ago I sent an email to Charlie McCoy & he told me to keep an eye on his website as his teaching video was soon to be released on DVD. But its been over a year and still nothing. For Bluegrass I see Sandy Weltman has teaching videos available.

I have Buddy Greenes new CD and it is one of my favourites. Buddy certainly can mix it up with Gospel, Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Irish etc . Loved the Mary Did You Know video as I had not heard it before. Thanks for posting.
