That's really cool that you read my post to Booby Rush, Adam! It just goes to show that you never know who's going to be reading anything that you post out there on the internet... I'd be really interested to know if Bobby gives a listen to any of those bands I listed. And if so, what he thinks about them? Now THAT would be something really interesting!

Adam - I didn't ignore your comments about Bobby Rush. I didnt have anything to add.

I've been fortunate enough to talk to Bobby several times. I've found him to be a great story teller. He's an intelligent and articulate man. He is a brilliant business man. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Bobby as a man and an artist.

We had conversations about Little Walter, his breaking into the scene in Chicago, Muddy Waters, the first Chicago Blues festival, his plan for crossing over from the Chitlin' circuit, the Superbowl of Blues, his first recording sessions and other things..

I wonder how old he really is... I've been to two of his 69th birthday parties held almost exactly one year apart. As you've found, he is very plugged into the state of the current blues scene. He knows what's going on. I am a huge fan of the man and his music.

He would never remember, but he's taught me a lot.

Mike - regarding Rod Piazza, he's been around a really long time and played in ghetto clubs. There are some interesting interviews of him in various mags which address his background and his showmanship. Its an interesting read.
