a jammer tells me he needs more time to set up his gear. So what do I do? start a improvised train tune and throw in some randomn cajun folk song lyrics...and the band holds on pretty damn well...that's what jamming is all about. Any similar experiences with you guys?
Well done Heart2harp I enjoyed that. All the way through on the one chord? That's something I haven't got to grips with yet. Good improvisation on your part though. ----------
I didn't understand a word of it, but I know good when I hear it. Nice job. I like the way you passed off onto the guitarist so he could hang it on out there for a bit, as you faded back into the comp. Good improv.
My old guitar player runs a jam. When he runs into a guy that wants prima donna set up time he tells them it's a jam use what we got. There is also the venue to consider they don't want a lot of down time and neither do you because you want to keep the people there and keep the gig. There is always set up when there is a break. On the down side too much set time means break down to taking up stage space and slowing things up on the back side. ---------- Emile "Diggs" D'Amico a Legend In His Own Mind How you doin'
sweet! if the band is aware that your plan is to hang on the I, this can be such a cool thing to get into. on the other hand if someone on stage is trying to go to the IV it can be a train wreck! you and that crew are doing a really good job here. m6y compliments! ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
