Just out of curiosity, has anyone here ever owned or played on a harp with wooden cover plates? I know that wood is not an ideal material for this, but that it HAS been done before.

I remember seeing a harp with wood covers a while back, but I don't remember what it was called and have never played one. ----------

Suzuki makes the Pureharp with rosewood and there's Hardwood Harps which I have yet to find much info on. But the Pureharp has gotten pretty good reviews from what I've seen. ----------

Friend of mine made for me wooden cover plates (palisander) to Golden Melody. It was a few years ago, so I don't remember details of the sound, but this GM played more quiet, and not trebly at all, however it looked cool :o) ==============================
