Just to show a trick : getting a sound that get close to a clarinet one.You can do it in real time with a whammy stomp pedal or maybe others pitchifter effects ,but I just have this one .Pitch one octave below with this stomp ,and the sounds will be close to it.Another way to make it happens :use the time and pitchifter of your recording sofware ,pitch the track you recorded one octave below (-12 semitones to be more precise ).Some links to listen how it sounds :






Backings tracks found on youtube for the two first links ,and me on all instruments for the last one ( fretless folk guitar ,fretless bass ,tablas percussions progammed with a free virtual drum machine (Hammerhead shark).
