Virtually every player of note has a characteristic, recogniseable style. People tend to talk in ultimately meaningless terms..."Chicago" for instance typically refers to Walter Jacobs, Walter Horton, SBWII, Junior Wells,James Cotton, Billy Boy Arnold, Carey Bell etc... but Cotton, Horton & SBWII started off recording in different areas, for different labels, there's no common factor other than they recorded in that city & were based there at times, could be acoustic, could be amplified. Jimmy Reed recorded alot in Chicago, in the same studio as Jacobs, Williamson & Horton, but is often considered a style of himself...so basically, don't get too hung up on pidgeon holing & listen to what you enjoy.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but check out Jimi Lee's - "Every Groove A Blues Man Needs To Know" for one take.

The World According to Garp!
Could you clarify your question a little? Are you talking about Hohner 'Blues Harps', generic blues harps, amplified, unamplified?
If you are looking for blues styles here is a start:

"how many styles of blues garp is there?"
Somewhere in there is a joke about "garps" as in the world according to Garp. A joke that connects with the shrimp joke in the movie. "Shrimp burgers, shrimp salad, shrimp casserole, shrimp pasta...." Rememeber that?
How many garps? There's a joke there somewhere, I just can't word it.
ok...never mind. ---------- Tommy

As much or as little as you want there to be.
Don't think of them as seperate styles/categories, think like Venn diagrams as in combinations/overlaps.
E.g. you can have a Canadian jump blues player, or a West Coast Chicago style blues band. Listen to "Cut You Loose" by James Cotton. Cotton started out recording in Memphis, moved to Chicago to play in Muddy's band, later recorded in California (West Coast) with Soul & Jazz influenced tracks on the same album...before adopting the more Hi Energy style that many are more familiar with...all along retaining the "James Cotton" style - now which category are you going to stick him in?
I'd like to see you play piano blues with a harp though...!?
