I think Billy's great. I think he's gone overlooked a great deal, which is wrong in itself. ---------- I entertain By bringing a tone to your brain Just like a west bound train You wanna know my name? Well, it's Hawkeye Kane
No, Rift, I'm in my 40s and it's my first viewing. Have you absorbed EVERYTHING produced during every year of your life? Hmmmm? ---------- Todd L. Greene
No Todd I have not absorbed EVERYTHING produced during my life. I have absorbed a lot of beer which in turn has made me forget a lot of my life! LOL
I have seen this several times and thought most others had as well. Guess I was wrong on assuming that. You live and learn...

I had a co-worker that was completely amazed that I had never seen the movie Poltergeist. it was as if I slep thru the Rapture to him. So, I watched it, and kinda thought it sucked, haha. But, now there's one less thing for me to be singled out for.
I'd like to absorb some beer right now. Might make my bologna sammich more palatable. ---------- Todd L. Greene
There is no doubt about the title of this post. I have had the pleasure and honor to watch Billy up close when playing for most of the time I have been learning to play harmonica, which is the past three years. It is one of the perks to living in Chicago, I guess. The words that come to mind when describing Billy Branch are tremendous technical ability, versatility, deep knowledge of the history of blues and blues harmonica (along with exposure to most of the great players), precision timing, and the type of energy as well as personality that all of the great harp players have. And just a monster tone. OK, I'm a big fan, I will admit that, and a friend. But the harp players that are on his level are very few indeed.
