I was visiting my aunt today and took her to Cracker Barrel (her choice). This little guy was there and she thought it was so funny and appropriate that she HAD to buy it for me. Well after a few protests I gave in... IT does make me laugh... I wish I could reprogram it to play some James Cotton... So get to Cracker Barrel before they are all gone!

That's pretty awesome! :)

It was a long time ago, but I seem to remember seeing an article about someone who was hacking the sound chips for toys like that. If you looked around the internet a bit you might be able to find some DIY instructions.

Oh, that's a MUST-HAVE! Looks like chicken fried steak and mustard greens are in my near future...

How much was it? I assume you gapped and embossed the reeds, of course.

@ toddlgreene

I think it was about $20. My Aunt bought it for me as an early birthday present (my birthday sometimes falls on Thanksgiving). I had a mess of greens myself.

The harp was made in a secret NASA laboratory deep underground in the Delta (at a crossroads no less). Joe Filisko, Disney, and a Voodoo Priest were all on hand for the construction. While it does not overblow, it is the ultimate setup for "Turkey in the Straw."

@Nacoran - If I didn't give it a try, I think it would be criminal!
