Very funny!
The thing is, despite the irony that Clapton's entire career has been blues, I really want to hear this. From The Cradle was a superb album and certainly one of his best. I didn't really like his last offering as it strayed from straighforward I IV V blues.
Can't wait!

Is it really going to be anything new or different?
He did say this at the end of that piece:
"Clapton later admitted that while each track would definitely be inspired by blues music, the final product might actually be more of a blues-rock album"
He usually does blues based rock already. I'm sure it will be good as usual, but I'd like to see him do more straight blues.

the key here is, "influenced by". i credit EC with bringing me back to blues via brit invasion, derek and the dominos etc and a lot of fine work since then. but he does what he must to keep the cash flow right, which is blues tinted rock.

the 2 cds eric did covering robert johnsons music were very good-would love to hear him cover some skip james,blind willie mctell and bukka white material-wondering if he is using harp on the cd? Id love to see a player from this forum play on it,because there are some who could definitely cut it well
