When I first started playing back in the 70's, every harp player was doing this along with Juke, rocker, and Back Track as a rite of passage. LW has an alternate take of this and it is, if you pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to things, a lesson on tone control and breath control as well as dynamics.

LW's versions are the originals and Cotton makes it his own. Big Walter's was actually done later.

thanks all. there is a great outake bob is refering to that is much better than the stock version i did here.

LW starts off the begining lick almost softly ( not all loud and brassy) and the song goes up and down in volume- also known as dynamics. oh, and it's much hipper too.

electra records put out a record album sampler of artists on their label, john sebastion, butterfield, etc. it was called, 'what's shakin'? it included butter doing off the wall.
