When I first started playing back in the 70's, every harp player was doing this along with Juke, rocker, and Back Track as a rite of passage. LW has an alternate take of this and it is, if you pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to things, a lesson on tone control and breath control as well as dynamics.
LW's versions are the originals and Cotton makes it his own. Big Walter's was actually done later. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
thanks all. there is a great outake bob is refering to that is much better than the stock version i did here.
LW starts off the begining lick almost softly ( not all loud and brassy) and the song goes up and down in volume- also known as dynamics. oh, and it's much hipper too. ----------
