Hi everyone, Thought I'd introduce myself... I'm 42 and I'm From belgium.
I watched Mr. Gussows youtube vidio's and they are fabulous, explaining those little details you can't find in books. So afther I watched them all I just had to learn how to play those things.
Bought 7 cheap harps 'Hohner bluesband' 60 dollars or so for a set (It was all they had in store). I also have an old 'big river harp' in C someone gave me. I just spend two hours cleaning it up because it tasted like copperdust and spiderwebs.
And I ordered a '20 special' with customisation. It won't speed up the learning process but if I can feel how a well adjusted harp plays like it will give me somewhat of a fixed starting point. afther that it doesn't matter becouse I'll be able to tell the difference between quality of harp and my lousy playing.
So, did a soundtest to see if I won't hurt any animals in the process...seems ok, harps, some lessons, bought the jam tracks. I think I'm ready to start!

Welcome aboard. A few weeks ago I went to eat at Cracker Barrel (a southern type restaurant in the U.S.) They have a country store in front and they sell Bluesband harps. I bought one just for the hell of it. It's barely playable. The special 20 will be like night and day.....you'll love it!
I'm not that far into learning either. Good luck and have fun. This is a great place for information, I've learned a lot here in the last couple of months. ---------- Tommy

Welcome to the club, Morrel. One thing you should know about jam tracks is if you search enough on Google and on here you can find plenty of free tracks.
Have you received the customized Special 20 yet? Or did you just order it?

No, I just ordered it yesterday. Today I learned 'Same Old Blues' from the advanced Beginner's Special and played it together with 'Easy' from the Blues Harp Jam Tracks, Vol. 1 So that's my first blues! Lot's of fun but my 2 draw still sounds like a sax player that just finished his second bottle of Gin. @ nacoran : I also put my pin in the map. @ The Gloth : I'm from Wetteren, East - flanders.
Thanks for your kind words of welcome!
