Here's an instrumental version of Sonny Boy Williamson's Bye Bye Bird i've been working on.

Its mainly made up of some Choruses from Dave Barrets lesson on Sonny Boy's Bird.

I'm using a Special 20 in Low D.

Hope ya like it:o)

Certainly got my foot tapping Ant. Liked the build up in the pauses and the sound of the low D Sp 20.

Glad to see the missus has let you out of the garage :)

Your playing is excellent as always but for whatever reason, I'm not yet a fan of low harps. Maybe someday but it hasn't grown on me yet. Nice job though...I always like your vids.

Very nice! There is a version of SBII playing it on a low C--which was also very cool. It's just a great tune on low harp--and you're doing a good job on it. . .

Ant , I think you did a good job , I also work on this song on a Low D sp 20( lots of people asked me if I can make a video , tab, explaining this song) , and even if it sounds simple stuff is not easy to get the feeling and rhythm right .It's lots of fun to go in and out of the chords to single notes.

I wish you would sing it too , it's not like it's much to it , you also left out the part that I like the most , the second chorus after he sings "Bye bye bird" , I am talking about the European tour version .

I didn't know that Barett has a tab for this , is it a part of the subscription? I am not Tbing so it's interesting the Lp adaptation . Anyway I think you did a good job but sometimes I feel that you think about it , like what it's coming next.

@ Sorin, Thanks man.

I also used your version as a reference when i started to learn this song:o)

I really wanted to sing but i have a big phobia about singing. I cant seem to stay in key so i dont bother. I know i should keep practicing but im very self conscious when it comes to singing.

I cut the down the number of Choruses i did because Dave Barretts lesson gives you 9 choruses and i thought i might bore people if i played all of them(and ive not learned them all just yet)

Its worth checking out Dave Barretts site even if its just for one month.

The lessons and artist studies are part of the subscription but there is tons of stuff on there.

The Sonny Boy artist study breaks down 9 choruses with tab, a video for each chorus and a slowed down track of each Chorus.

When you sing the 2 short parts it breaks down the monotony . I didn't know that Barett has a complete explanation of this song , which is my project right now.

The part that I mentioned is this one:

Bye by Sorinache

Also , I transposed the sonny boy's song in the key of A so it's easier to learn it on that low D harp , if you are interested in it let me know.
