Dare I say, they made it sexy?
Very cool additional features they've added. Wonder what the price will be? ---------- Todd L. Greene

Shajan most places have return policies. Find it out.
I am glad the new one came out. It means the first one may be more affordable soon. They can be bought very cheap brand new on Ebay, too.

Zoom H2N in stores now. Picked mine up at Long and McQuade in Canada. Had reserved one and was notified today that it was in.
I can't compare it to the H2 but have experience with other recorders and microphones and really like it so far. The microphone gain thumb wheel is a very useful feature.
Store price is $199 with the H2 discounted to $159. Given the additional features in the H2N and the extended battery life, I think it's worth paying a bit more for the latest version. I expect it will be a hot seller.

Thanks for the review!
I think Zoom is making a power play with it's new products this year. If the G3 (http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/g3) is even half as good as it seems like it is, then it could be a Line 6 POD/Digitech RP killer. Now I just need to save up the $$ to buy one! ;) ----------

I've heard very mixed thing about the G3, namely, it doesn't compare sonically to the POD HD stuff. I have a Zoom H4n and Zoom Q3. I wish I had the Q3HD, but I only use it for Youtube stuff anyways.
For a general purpose field recorder - meaning you are only going to record the room - the Zoom stuff is sweet.
The Zoom H4n is around $300 new, I think. In all honesty, I got it for the features and learned that while it the capability to do what I wanted, it was a huge PIA.
For example, the direct ins for XLR and 1/4 are consumer grade only. Meaning, you can't take a direct signal from ANYTHING without clipping. You need a mixer and/or DI infront. It works FANTASTIC as an audio interface when using the stereo mics. It is not as nice as some of the $200-300 dollar audio interfaces for DIRECT recording.
What I am getting at is if you want a field recorder, the new Zoom H2n is probably going to be great. If you want to do more than set and forget, the Zoom stuff isn't a good buy at that price point.
The Zoom Q3 is a great piece of gear I use all the time. It captures a field recording as well as the H4n, but also give me video. I am going to sell both to get the Zoom Q3HD as it is HD and has a Line-in, which I would use a lot.

I have the original model and it works really well, but it is built kind of cheaply. That new H2 looks sweet and the 360 deg. surround mode is nice too. ----------
