It really is a neat looking little gizmo. The problem is someone already asked what it was a few years ago and there still is no response. The writing is in the title is Japanese according to Google, but the user name would seem to indicate China.

The writing is indeed in Japanese. The description below says that one of his harmonica students made the device. Doesn't say anyhing technical. The harping is partly promotion for one of his teaching vids and his version of a harmonica boogie by JJ Milteau. Harmonicachina's actual (Japanese name)is Satoru Hiramatsu, if this is any help.

Like BronzeWailer said, his name is Satoru Hiramatsu and it was mend as a promotion video. The name "HarmonicaChina" is because he studied Chinese and has been to China. (Satoru is Japanese and lives and works in Japan)
The mini amp, which plugs directly into the mic, was available at Yahoo's action site, but I haven't seen it for quiet some time. I did hear him play with it (using a bullet mic) and it sounded like a good busking rig...
So I got my first Asian text email today in my spam box and I thought to myself, maybe this is a response to my question on YouTube! I pulled it into Google Translator and I got this fabulous response...
(Translated) Chinese to English translation
Old 'mother Xiao - a long time like this CHANEL bag AP table to buy a 'husband - not after finally by a demon
But never fear, it makes much more sense translated into Japanese!
?? 'old - the amount of virtual ?? Yoshihisa Baobao CHANEL Laogong 'purchases completed ?? AP - After completion of final ?? ??
Or maybe it really just was my first piece of Asian spam.
I have a Japanese friend and asked him to translate. This was his response : "The video was made to introduce the microphone which one of his students made. It seems that it consists of microphone head with some sort of amplifier/microphone for a guitar.' I asked him for a better explanation, but apparently the guy doing the video doesn't know too much about it either...The written description of the video doesn't explain anything either. Sorry. ---------- -Edward Tomaine YouTube
