I am off to the local farmers market. I play acoustically and sell the homemade dog biscuits my special education students make. I do this every saturday, weather permitting, during my summer vacation. It is a great atmosphere. I mostly noodle vs. play because I am selling biscuits/promoting my functional life skills program first priority. It is a trip how lifes priorities change with age. In my younger days I wouldn't be caught dead at such a function. Now, I look forward to it. Summer vacations are a great benefit to teaching. Walter

narcoran: I did have fun. The best part is when the little kids come right up and lock eyes with me. I play directly to them. My first real memory was when I was around 3. We were at a veterans day parade and there was this little man, probably a midget, dressed up in a funky old marching band uniform. He had a bass drum and some kind of cymbal rig on his back that worked when he walked via ropes on his feet. He waddled down the sidewalk (wasn't in the parade) playing the trumpet and we made that same eye locked together thing that I got 3 times today. That memory triggered my musical dreams into reality. In reality he probably was drunk, but to me he was magic. Walter
