If you follow the 'Thread Organizer' link in my signature you can find a whole list of customizers, although they aren't rated or anything.

Thanks Todd, I appreciate the plug. However, I am not really an overblower, so if my Harps overblow well (I am told that they do) it is nothing I do specifically for overblows. I do make sure that I can overblow 6, though.
If I wanted to buy a great overblow harp, I personally would contact Joe Spiers, though last time I heard he was not taking orders. ----------

some of the top guys do not wax the rivet.. making a much more durable custom job, you may want to ask this question of the customizers you talk to.

Chris Reynolds does great full slot embossing and has had really good results with 1847's. He can eliminate the overblow/overdraw squeals without having to use wax. Check out Blow Your Brass Off
Randy builds great harps too, though I'm not sure if he does Seydels?

Genesis Harmonicas all day! Randy gets reeds tighter than any other custom harp I've tried. Fast turn around too!

Hey MBHers
Randy does some top notch work. Very responsive, lots of volume, will set them up any which way you like. He will retrofit any harp and I've always found that he steps things up a notch when you have an idea that is fresh and different. Well worth checking out!
P.S - Im not an endorser, I just think Randy's work is rad - plus he's a cool guy and that goes a long way. ----------

I have an 1847 and a Session Steel from Jon Harl. Both are very nice harps. I like the sound of the 1847 over that of the Session Steel, but that is acoustically played. With an amp I would think all that goes away.
At $110 for a Session Steel from Jon, it's about the most bang for the customizing buck I've found. ----------

The guy Rupert Oysler recommended to me is Jon Harl, specifically for overblow 1847s and Session Steels:

For brass reeds, chromaticblues makes awesome OB/OD harps :)

Another good customizer that is reasonable is Mike Street plus he makes some really nice combs. You can find him the forum at www.deltafrst.com as harmonimike. ---------- Wisdom does not always come with old age. Sometimes old age arrives alone.

Highly recommend the excellent workmanship of Mike Fugazzi ( Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas ). Have recently recieved A G and D Golden Melodies with full reed work and Sjoeberg combs. Sweetly set up to do all I need. The most responsive harps I have played. Fast action and high volume with minimal breath pressure. As is evident in all his posts here, Mike is a great communicator and along with listening to my requirements he kept his promise to deliver what I was hoping for. (I have been tinkering with my harps since the late 1980's when I was shown some tricks by the great Brendan Power)
Mike is building fantastic harps and I have ordered some more :) ---------- KiwiRick
