Well that is true with his appearance last night on BBC with John Paul Jones of Led Zep on bass.

I just ask why?? I can not see it or hear it???

I happen to like a few of his songs. He comes across as a gimmick but once you get over that I think he's got a pretty cool sound.

Different strokes for different folks!

He's got charisma and great stage presence.
He writes great songs.
He has a massive sound for one guy.
Most of all,he grooves every song.

I've got 3 of his albums, I went through a phase of playing them a lot.
Haven't for a while. I'll need to dig them out.

I think his best album is "Cheap" with the Level Devils

Totally agree. I used to gig with him as support band a few years ago and the guy puts on a superb show... extremely charismatic, great 'feel' player, does what he does brilliantly...... wipes the floor with most other blues guys on this side of the pond....

First of all,I hope you all are having or had a great time this weekend,I wish I could attend but work this time of year gets overwhelming for me.As for S.Steve ,I had a listen and really, really enjoy his material.it has a Miss. kinda feel in a R.L. Burnside kind off way,in fact I think that if he teamed up with a good harper it woyuld make it all the more better. If that was the case I think he would be a great addition to the Hill Country Shindig. As for J.P.Jones playing with him, which I did not see but after hearing his material with Them Crooked Vultures with in the last two years I believe that he,s just an open minded player who digs really good out of the ordinary type music and thats a good thing, not the same old same old.I will definitely be picking up some of S.Steves music for my colletion.I wonder if he,s ever tried rack harp himself, that would be a nice addition if he plays/harp.

Love it! Seasick Steve bottled the best of ZZ Top, added too much hot sauce and side order of bad to the bone - love this guy! Great thread!

I can see & hear it , he is a excellent blues musician.
people like the fact that he's a street musician who has made good. he made his 1st album in his kitchen & it ended up selling millions of copies.

The guys a GENIUS! pure entertainment i saw him turn a tent full of twentysomethings onto the blues just doing his one man band thing at Glastonbury and it was an amazing thing.
I think i might start calling myself Seaside Steve cos i live at the coast!
