I guess it's going to be a bit quiet here this weekend, with the hardcore being at HCH.
While the cats away, the rest of us could wreak havoc back here. :^) Will there be any mods about ;^)

We need to have our own party.
How about everyone posting a video recorded on Saturday night when HCH is in full swing as a tribute.
Is a really slow mournful blues appropriate or do we show them we don't need HCH to have a good time :^)

Sounds like a plan lump! I'm mostly "home alone" this long weekend and lookin' for stuff to do when I not doing the stuff I'm supposed to do.
I'm leaning towards good time!

Well so far it's gonna be:
Friday - set the pvr to tape the Canucks/Sharks game, drop the women off at the ferry. Watch game until it's time to head for the Yale Hotel and Studebaker John and the Hawks. Watch rest of game if overtime.
Saturday - sleep in. Buy lots of beer, tape the Bruins/Bolts game, play harp real loud, hit the 4-7 jam at the Cottage Bistro, cut/post a video, watch game, drink lots of beer and play harp.
Now I just have to come up with the Sunday/holiday Monday schedule. :)
Take that HCH!

I got it now. Repeat cycle: beer/tape/harp/watch (and clean out the science experiments in the back of the fridge.)

As promised a bit of silliness, on the night of HCH! (terrible harp playing, levels are nuts on the web cam mic. And the operator has had a few!! )

I don't have copies! I just had a recording session over at my friends house. We had two two man bands playing together. We did track recordings and everything, but they are still on the machine. I wasn't real happy with the harp until we added some distortion after the fact. I've got to learn to work with his microphones better. I'm thinking maybe it's because his are so much better than mine and he's so careful about making sure things don't peak that I'm not getting an overdriven sound. I'm also having some issues with my attack. It sounded a lot better once we put some distortion on it. I may rerecord my parts though. It was kind of frustrating. It sounded good when I played it, just not on the first playback.

Oh well. Wish I was at HCH. Too poor, and too OCD to deal with a big crowd. I'm hoping there is lots of video.

(When I get a copy of the mix down I'll throw it on YouTube. I think when everything is said and done they are going to be pretty cool. The bass player is amazing and in one song we had guitar, ukulele, bass, xylophone, harp, maracas plus vocals! (And drums will probably get added, and maybe a female backing harmony.) I'm not sure how we'd ever play that live.
